You are right of course. It started last time around the time Michael won Crown so your Reign would have included the start-up activities. It makes sense then that you would have seen little northern interest at that point in the process. Last time people's motives were called into question and it just died. This time it pretty clearly seems to be an economic one. Something Axel said got me thinking though. To quote another famous play...
