Just try and keep some perspective here. Burying a loved one killed in
a foreign conflict (or anywhere else) is a painful process. Undergoing
chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant is a painful process.
Salvaging a few belongings from the burned out remains of your home is a
painful process. Go read some news articles, and you'll find dozens of
other painful processes, most of which you will hopefully never have to
endure.
The SCA is a game, and for fun. Hashing out administrative details is
just something you have to do. Be courteous, civil, and reasonable
about it, and can the drama. If you need real drama in your life, drop
me a note and I'll be happy to point you to plenty that you can
legitimately get worked up over. Otherwise, have fun, and if it's not
fun, find something else that is.
