So what are the main reasons for discussion of dividing Atlantia into a
northern province and a southern kingdom?
Is it because a smaller kingdom means that a kingdom level event would be
more likely to be closer to the populace and a shorter drive for those who
must attend (Royalty, Unevent, etc)? We each have our own personal limits
on how far we would be willing to travel for a day event, and how much
farther we'd go for a weekend event. Any committee who would be discussing
this seriously should also consider determining an average distance of
travel which will suit the majority of the people who travel to events.
What are the other benefits of a smaller kingdom (geographically)?
What are the disadvantages?
One issue which might be a disadvantage would be that the northern region is
more densely populated than the southern region, and even if you did divide
the line, say at the somewhere across the middle of virginia, the kingdom
would still be spread out. By who's standards? It varies. My opinion says
"Yes" and yours might be "Not really".
How does the number of available, usable, and reasonably priced sites
compare in the north to the south?
