I saw the main exhibit last year at the Cairo Museum in Egypt. They have the famous golden mask that was in the original Smithsonian tour, but no longer leaves Cairo. It was truly stunning. I have never seen so much gold and precious stones/metals in one place ever, or since (and I have been to most of the great museums of Europe-royal jewels have no leg to stand on next to this stuff). If you can spare any time it is well, well worth it.

I got to see the original exhibit at the Smithsonian
when I was in grade school. It was great!
I went to this exhibit in Philadelphia last summer. It
was even better!! Most items were placed so that you
could inspect them from front, sides and back. And if
you didn't mind crouching, you could see the underside
of some items (like the chairs). I found it to be more
in depth, less flashy than the first. Oh, and the
Ureas (snake crown) is one of the items!

Go, it's worth the wait in line!
