Warren Douglas Ryan Jr., December 9, 1968 - June 3, 2008 Warren Ryan died too soon on Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at University of Maryland Medical Center with his wife and family at his side.

Warren was born in Virginia and graduated from South Hagerstown High School. He earned an Associates Degree in Communication from Hagerstown Community College and was an employee of Citicorp for thirteen years. 

He was predeceased by his father Warren D Ryan, Sr. He is survived by his beloved wife, Frances J Ryan, his mother, Eva J Ryan of Hagerstown, MD, sisters and brothers-in-law Donna and Leon Myers and Eleanor and Gary Harmison of Greencastle, PA ,sister Norma Jean Ryan of Louisville, KY, sister-in-law Mary E. Jester of Maugansville, MD, sister-in-law and husband Jennifer and Kelly Greene of Holiday, FL, 6 nephews, 5 nieces, 5 great-nephews, and 5 great-nieces.

Warren was a member of Letters for Santa, the Western Maryland Shakespeare Co. and the Washington County Playhouse. He was active in a variety of living history and role playing groups such as the Society for Creative Anachronism and Amtgard. He was an artist and musician, a brewer, an amourer and blacksmith, a fencer and martial artist, a cook and an avid reader. He was a gifted story-teller with a truly generous spirit.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday June 22 at 2 pm at the Wilson Rotarian, 16204 National Pike, Hagerstown, MD 21740. Flowers should be sent on the day of the service after 1 pm. A covered dish potluck will be held at the service.

In lieu of flowers donations are being accepted for coverage of medical and final expenses. Donations may be sent to Frances Ryan, 17338 W Washington St., Hagerstown, MD 21740

A wake will be held on Saturday June 14th at Highland River Melees, Hagerstown, MD after feast.
