Clients - The best time to arrive at the Point to be sure to be seen by heralds that day is about 15-20 minutes before we open and get your name on the list. We stop taking new names on the list about an hour before close any given day . . . earlier if we're really busy. No one wants to spend their entire War at Heralds Point. Ok, maybe there are one or two who do but we don't talk about them much and we're trying to get them help.
We seat folks on a first come first served basis. Once your name is on the list you're good. As heralds come available, we call the name that was on the list the earliest and go down till someone is actually present. This allows you to go to a class and come back or go get something to eat an come back or go shopping and come back . . . so long as you are physically IN the tent before closing, you will be seen. Our slowest days are the first two. After that, all bets are off. We consult with 500-800 folks depending on the year.
If you have a particularly tricky submission you'd like to work on, see HP staff as early in war as you can and ask about making an appointment when we're closed or with a herald who specializes in that culture or . . . whatever.
