Greetings all Heavy Youth Combatants and their Parents,

Storvik's Novice Tourney this Saturday will include youth combat.  The day
will start with a youth practice and warm up 15 minutes after morning court.
It is my understanding morning court is scheduled to be done at 11:00 SCA
time (King and Baron/Baroness permitting :).  Please adjust the following
schedule for any delays:

11:15 to 11:30   Practice and Warm up for all youth
11:30 to 11:55   Youth Tournament Level I
11:55 to 12:00    Break (marshal and MOL organization period)
12:00 to 12:25    Youth Tournament Level II
12:25 to 12:30    Break (marshal and MOL organization period)
12:30 to 12:55    Youth Tournament Level III
12:55 to 1:55     Break (marshal breakdown)

Judges are open to bribes for tourney format.  Level II and/or Level III
fighters may bribe/petition judges to do a melee tournament in place of the
single fighting tournament at their discretion.  I highly encourage bribes
of food or nice knives......Damascus is my favorite.....

Please re post this email to other lists at your discretion.  I encourage
any parents interested in becoming marshals to come talk with me some time
during the break or breakdown period.  Remember, in order for your kids to
be able to fight or practice, they need to have watched one practice and
completed a brief educational briefing.  Encouraging your kids to watch the
practice and tourney is one step closer to fighter Nirvana.
