Attention all artisans! You don't just have to compete for a champion
position at this years Sacred Stone Baronial Birthday, August 29, 30 & 31;
we also have numerous
other competitions to peak your curiousity and drive your creativity. They
are as follows:
Most outlandish PERIOD hat - Come and enter your most elaborate, outlandish,
mayhaps, even craziest period hats and headgear. Anything from veils to
hennins is acceptable with documentation. Any time period or location within
period is accepatble.
Born of Fire - This competition is designed for our glass and pottery
artisans. Bring your newest and brightest projects for this competition.
Documentation is required.
Most Exuberant herald - Sign up as a Herald for Hire and enter this
competion. Be loud, be creative, be outlandish (but keep suitable for little
ears).
Best Heraldic Display - Set up an encampment, wear your best heraldic garb,
fly your biggest heraldic banners. Make a showcase of our event and you
might be rewarded in this catagory. Entries can be personal or baronial
heraldry.
Patents of Nobility - Attention all scribal artisans! Are you up to the
task? We're asking for patents of nobility to be drawn up. Bring best pieces
and enter this unique competition. Patents can be for a real, scadian, or
imagined person, but must be in period style.
Chivalric Poetry - Lay verses of ladies and roses on our table. We're
calling for original poems in a documentable style (think French chivalric
poetry) based on historic figure or event. Documentation of style is
required.
