Going all the way to 79 adds a LOT of time. The latest you want to
jump from 68 to the Turnpike is Somerset. After Somerset, the Turnpike
veers northwest, so on I-68 you hit I-79 about 90 miles south of where
the Turnpike does. That, depending on lead content of feet, can add an
hour and a half right there. In 27 previous Pennsics, I've probably
figured out just about every really looooong shortcut and/or way to
get lost between here and there, that exists.
Applying more Google Fu, I think I'm going to hop on US220 from
Flintstone to Bedford this run.
