Excellent questions! I had been waiting for the print Acorn to hit mailboxes
before posting to the list, but your questions are a great opening.

At Curia at Assessments in June, the date of summer university was changed
to the second Saturday (amid much discussion). Duchess Simone, the kingdom
event bid deputy, will  be able to provide a fuller discussion of the
reasons for this, but my understanding is that the weekend high schoolers
take their SATs has been moved to the first weekend in June, which would
make most high schools unavailable as sites.

So YES, the second weekend in June is now restricted, and the first weekend
is now available.

Greetings!  I see in the Acorn that the date for June University has been
changed to the second Saturday in June.  I have a couple of questions.

1.  What was the reason for this change?  I can only assume that there is a
good one, and I'm sure we'd all like to know.

2.  Does this mean that the FIRST Saturday in June is now freed up for local
events, and the second Saturday in June is now restricted?
