Had a great time looking at this clothing. Let me fill you in...
It was all made from portraiture 1500-1580. It was made of cloth woven to match the pictures and matched in thread size and weight. everything was lined. Appropriate under garments were made.
The brocades were so unique and definitely not what we use in our garb. The patterns were so interesting. One of the dresses looked like the same pattern as Italian white vine - an illumination pattern/technique. The pearls, beading, and gemstones were wonderful. I was also impressed by the ermine collar on one of the mens' outfits.
The buttons and fake jewelry were all cast. Some of it was astounding and some not so good on close examination.
The costumes were all used by a theater company that did Rennaissance productions in Italy.
Definitely a fine display of garments from that time period.
