2. When you find yourself amusing family you have never before met with interesting historical stories about how certain sayings came to be (Ask me about saying "bless you when someone sneezes I dare ya!) 
3. When your pajamas take on a medieval tone and you think they are sexier then the stuff you bought at the lingere store!
4. When you find you have jewelry you wear just for SCA events and you think of it as your "good" jewelry!
5. When you can't convince your spouse to wear any jewelry you get him no matter how masculine it looks but he WILL wear an amber necklace to SCA events because it "Just looks so viking!"

When you have to stop at an ATM in a shady part of town at 3AM, so you carry
your gladius with you, and then a car pulls in behind you, you hear the doors
open, and when you turn around holding the gladius, you see the doors quickly
closing again.
