Or, you're not planning to move soon, so you're seriously considering replacing the 16x20 shed with a 16x20 2-story shed so there's enough room for both sewing/fabric layout AND a woodshop. The leatherworking area is the upstairs guest room, the den is rapidly being swallowed by fabric storage, and the living room is the arrow-making area. ( I could have planned that one a little better- why I thought working with feathers in a room I can't keep the 9 kitties out of was a good idea...)
You use professional 3d engineering drafting software (AutoCAD and/or MicroStation) to design medieval pavilions, garb pattern layouts, the aforementioned shed, and I'm sure my husband is going to design a trebuchet with it after Pennsic...
You're getting fabric for an Elizabethan gown (it was a middle-class gown, nothing that fancy! Really!), and the lady at the fabric store jokingly comments, "I hope you're not going to be wearing all this at once..." and your response is "Well... actually..."
You're wandering up and down the aisles of Home Depot, and somebody asks what you're making, given that you're carrying tarp grommets, a paint stir stick, 36" cable ties, and are trying to decide which plastic tubing would work best for the farthingale, and your response is, again, "Well... actually..."

2. The prerequisites for the house you are building are a. Enough room in the back yard for a Royal Rounds Archery range. b. Enough room to practice heavy. c. A garage big enough for the trailer for Pennsic that you haven't bought yet. d. An armor rack in said garage. e. A room big enough for your 4 sewing machines, all your weaving/kumihimo/embroidery/arrow making/drumming/belly dancing.....stuff......
