Multi Opus Alleviat!

Many Work Lightly, or as my sainted Great Grandma Artman used to say, Many hands make light work.

Any event you attend runs on the backs and with the time and generosity of volunteers. Period. Nothing happens in this organization any other way, from the kingdom level on down.

If you plan to attend an event, near or far, your local group or one you've never played with before, consider offering a moment, an hour or four of your time. Especially larger events always have need of willing hands to fill in the gaps.

No, it won't likely be glamorous. It may not be fun. I don't care what kind of crack smokin service monkey you are, NO ONE likes to empty garbage cans or unclog toilets but someone's got to do it. This time it will be you. Next time it will be me. After that, someone else and then no one has spent the entire of any event hauling garbage. Ultimately it's needful and one of the best ways to make friends I've ever found. Show up. Smile and offer a hand and people will remember your name and be more likely to help at your event next month and the paying it forward continues.? =o)

Pennsic, War of the Wings, Ymir, Crown Tourney, Sapphire, Feast of the Unicorn, Glory Wars, Southern Atlantian Archery Day . . . whatever you attend, that event needs

People willing to schlepp water and Gatorade
Warranted Chirurgeons
Someone to make sure there's paper in the privvies
Help at Gate/Troll
People with big voices to cry the field and the camps
Everyone willing to pick up a piece of paper and put it in the garbage can instead of walking by it.
Someone to peel carrots
Someone to empty a garbage can

Multi Opus Alleviate, Atlantia~!
