>From the PA Dept of Agriculture which regulates the forest lands in PA, Folks from Virginia, North and South Carolina can take firewood this year IF it is packaged, labeled and kiln dried or USDA certified free of the Emerald Ash Borer.

~gise

Quarantines that restrict firewood movement are as follows.

The Emerald Ash Borer quarantines (federal and state) restrict

non-coniferous firewood movement from those areas of Michigan, Illinois,

Indiana, Ohio, Maryland, West Virginia and Pennsylvania where the

Emerald Ash Borer has been found. Firewood from these areas must be

officially certified as having met one of several conditions aimed at

mitigating spread of Emerald Ash Borer.

Pennsylvania also has a quarantine that prohibits movement of all

firewood into the state unless it is packaged, labeled, and kiln dried

or USDA certified.
