Wrong kind of lead, m'lady.
What is wanted is the verbal form of "lead," (rhymes with "feed") as in being a leader.
"Plumbum" is the Latin name of the metal called lead (rhymes with "fed").? The name is the reason for the name of the trade of plumber - water pipes used to be made of lead.
