In three short weeks, the 33rd Tourney of Ymir will unfold; the event 
that traditionally marks the beginning of the tourney season.  The 
website and new event site details are below, but first.....

About the Nekkid People.....

Last year at Ymir we had an unusually large number of newcomers 
arriving.....without garb (!)

OK.....so they weren't really actually nekkid as in "Don't look, 
Ethel!" nekkid.  If you're new to the SCA you may be relieved (or 
disappointed - who am I to judge?) to learn that when we say that 
someone is "naked" at an event, we mean that they're not dressed in 
garb of the SCA time period.

So....we ask that anyone needing loaner garb make arrangements in 
advance to borrow loaner garb before they arrive at the event, 
preferably at least a week in advance.  More details can be found at

About our new site and the web link .....

On Friday-Sunday, 8-10 February, Ymir will be held in a new location -- 
Camp Betsy-Jeff Penn in Reidsville, NC.  This is the same site as the 
Spring 2007 Coronation of Their Graces Valhalric and Arielle (the event 
with the now legendary Roman mythology-themed quest).

This is a WET site (Woot!) with a lot more spare - more importantly a 
lot more INDOOR space.  (Yay!)  The Actual Event Website is here ==>
