Greetings to all!
On behalf of Mistress Jeanmaire Doremy, here is a list of all of the Arts
and Sciences Activities to be found at Twelfth Night:
General Information:
Registration for A&S will open at 9:30am on Saturday morning in the Atrium.
Registration for all competitions, with the exception of Royal Bard and Best
Heraldic Garb, will close at 1:00 pm. To be considered for judging (with
noted exceptions) your entry must be received before 1:00pm. The Atrium
will be open until midnight, and if you wish, you may leave your entry on
display until that time. However, entries will only be watched until the
start of the evening's last court (7:30pm) so we recommend that you collect
your materials by that time.
Arts and Sciences/Works in Progress Display
Several tables will be available for Display Only. These will be located in
the Atrium. There will be signs on the tables indicating what they are for.
Items on display may be dropped off at any time after 9:30am. As stated
above, they may remain until midnight, but will not be watched after 7:30pm.
It is recommended that you collect your items by that time.
Youth Arts and Sciences:
Youth aged 8-13 are encouraged to enter an A&S competition. The theme is
"Anything Atlantian" and although documentation is not required, extra
points will be given for documentation. .
Best Masque Competition:
Prize awarded for best hand made masque. Documentation is recommended,
although it is not required.
Best Heraldic Garb Competition:
Prize awarded for the most outstanding display of personal heraldry in
attire. Anyone who is interested in having their heraldic attire judged
should make their way to the Main Ballroom at 2:00pm on Saturday.
Royal Bard Competition:
Competition will be held in three rounds beginning at 11:00 am. All gentles
wishing to enter this competition should register in the lounge by 10:45 AM

Poeta Atlantia:
All people wishing to enter this non-performance poetry competition must
submit two poems. These poems may by in any period style prior to 1600 and
may be on any subject matter. Documentation is required.
Scribal Competition:
To enter, bring one or two items with your calligraphy and documentation.
If you enter two items, each must be done in a different script. Entries do
not need to be scrolls: they can be invitations or other items, so long as
there is sufficient text to demonstrate your skills. There may be
illumination with your entry, but only the calligraphy will be judged. If
you enter two items with different scripts, an additional 10 points will be
added to the score of your highest scoring entry.
Please note: Scribes may cross enter items in both the Scribal competition
AND Tempore Atlantia. If you wish to do this, please inform the A&S
Coordinators when checking in your entry.
Tempore Atlantia: Highlighting the time period 1000-1250
Best in Show
Best Entry by an SCA Merchant
Best of any Item Associated with Archery during the Highlighted Time Period-
this includes, but is not limited to, crossbows, quivers, illumination,
bolts and clothing. Documentation is required.
Best Display
Best Knitted, Woven or Handspun Item of highlighted time period
Best Short Form Documentation - written documentation should be no longer
than one page, not including bibliography and images.
