Greetings unto Atlantia and Friends,
To while away the dark days of February we offer a number of A & S
competitions at Bright Hills Baronial Birthday celebration "A Feast of
Fools" on Feb., 9th OF particular interest to those of the BArdic
persuasion we offer the following "Duelling Bards" or our own "Bardic Bear
Pit Tourney". M.I.C. (Musician In Charge) Lord Richard Wyn sends this
description of the competition. Kindly contact him as instructed if you
have any questions.
Harken all Bards, Minstrels and Entertaining Fools,
At Feast of Fools I will be holding the first Bardic at Five Paces (A
Bardic Bear Pit). Any good warrior can be stong in a fight hiding
behind thick steel armor, or shoot an enemy with an arrow from a
hundres yards away, but only the Bards stand unarmored against their
foes. Like the warriors Bear Pit two performers will compete in
similar "weapons" form. The winner of the bout will remain in the
pit to be tested by the next challengers "weapon" form. Weapons
forms may include but are not limited to Songs, Stories, Poetry,
Music, Juggling, sword dance etc. So bring your tomes, journels,
papers or whatever else you may need to compete in epic Bardic
battles.
Anyone needing authorization please seek me out prior to the contest.
Lord Richard Wyn
Bard of Bright Hills
