Dear Sir Andras,
I thank you for your creative challenge. Such a quest would be interesting.
However, my first event was decades ago and thousands of leagues away. If I
am a graybeard by now, the offending knight (whose name I never knew) must
be quite old, and may indeed have gone to his eternal reward. There,
according to Our Lord, he will find a great wedding banquet. If he has no
wedding garment, he will be cast into the outer darkness. (What does this
prove? That there are garb requirements even in heaven. Who am I to
gainsay the will of the Eternal?) Let the angels evict the old reprobate;
I'll not go a-questing for that.
However, to return to the original point, some people can be quite
uncharitable toward the newcomer, and others may value pride of place more
than they should. I would join the chorus that pleads for charity toward
one another, and toward newcomers especially.
Your servant,
Charles Fleming
