You forgot to announce your own win! I'll do it for you! ;-)
The winner of the Best Heraldic Garb competition was Mistress Jeanmaire,
with an absolutely stunning pearled (with different size pearls to imply
shading and definition) representation of her wyvern and fleurs on her inset
skirt!

Subject: [MR] Winners of A&S Competitions at 12th Night

A&S Competitions at Kingdom 12th Night
As you may have noticed there were many Arts and Sciences activities at
Kingdom 12th Night this year. First, I would like to thank each and every
artisan who displayed their work on the four (and ½) tables that were in the
back of the ball room. All the work on display was quite lovely, some of it
very complex, and all of it worth taking the time to look at.
Scribal Competition:
The winner of the writing box/desk was Lady Livia Zanna for her calligraphy
on Dunstan's Laurel scroll.
Lord Dominic Elphenstone was the runner up. (And I still have your prize!
Contact me at jremes at carolina.rr.com to see about how I can get it to you.)
Mask Making Competition:
Thanks to all the lovely entries in this competition. Many of them were
more exquisite when worn than when displayed, as I noticed during the ball
itself. The winner was Honorable Lady Arielle of Beinn Dhubh for a mask
titled "Mother Nature" that was reminiscent of Giuseppe Arcimboldo's
Vertumnus painting. The runner up was Mistress Isobel of Beddingfield for
her beautiful and documented Halian Carnival Masks.
Poeta Atlantia was won by James of Middle Aston.
Tempore Atlantia
Best Display: Baroness Janina Krakowska (pouch embroidered in the style of
the Bayeux Tapestry)
Best Entry by an SCA Merchant and Best in Show: Mistress Aenor d'Anjou with
the embroidered Laurel scroll in the style of the Bayeux Tapestry.
Royal Bardic Competition
The two finalists were both so good that the King could not decide between
them. So Baronesa Gracia Esperanza de Sevilla was made King's Bard, and
Lady Elishabeth D'Avignon was made Queen's Bard.
If you have any questions or comments about A&S at 12th Night, feel free to

Yours in Service,
Mistress Jeanmaire
