Please don't forget about the Heraldic Display competition! There is no
formal 'entering' process - just show up, show off your stuff, and a panel
of judges will choose the most impressive display and I'll award the prize
of a appliquéd Spike gonfalon!

Subject: [MR] Ice Castles A&S - 2 Weeks Left!
> Ice Castles 2008 is just over two weeks away. I still need input from our
> artisans to help make A&S a success at Ice Castles.
>
> First, I encourage all of our artisans to participate in the competitions
> and displays. The competitions are:
>
> * Best use of a Castle theme (any medium)
> * Illumination based on a Winter theme
> * Novice open competition (2 years or less in the art or craft being
> entered)
>
> Anything not fitting these categories may be displayed, as well. All arts
> and sciences are welcome.
>
>
> If you will be bringing work to do in Artisans Row, please let me know
> what sort of space you will need. We can accomodate almost any arts, as
> long as we know to set up the space in advance.
>
> We need artisans to teach on Saturday (Jan 26). I'm open to having
> classes on pretty much any A&S topic, and we can schedule up to four
> classes comfortably. If you are interested in teaching your craft, please
> let me know. We do have a poetry class scheduled.
>
> The meet and greet for A&S at War of the Wings was a great experience.
> We will be doing the same at Ice Castles. If you are a member of at least
> one art order, please bring your tokens and comment cards to help
> encourage our artisans in all the many crafts which beautify and enrich
> our fair Kingdom. Please display the regalia of your order(s) so others
> may recognize you as a Patron.
>
> Also, we're hoping to have a refreshment table for Artisans Row. This will
> be potluck, and should be finger foods. If you would like to help with
> this, please let me know. I would like our Artisans Row to be a pleasant,
> comfortable area for artisans to work and share our projects, and for the
> populace to see what we do. With time running out, I need to heare from
> you if you would like to participate. If we don't have participation, this
> won't be able to happen.
>
> All performance artists are invited and encouraged to come and perform at
> Artisans Row during the event. Singers, musicians, storytellers, dancers,
> and performers of all sorts are welcome! Space will be available adjoining
> Artisans Row for performances, and performers will be welcome to entertain
> during the evening Feast. Also, any wandering minstrels, jugglers, or
> other performers are welcome to wander through the site to entertain the
> masses.
>
> Additional details are available on the event website at
