[MR] Demo at the National Zoo, WASH , DC

I checked the zoo's website for the date. It is listed as May 9, which is a Friday. Is that date correct? It may affect the number of people who are able to attend that day.

The Zoo, my place of employment, has recently experienced a performance
by a group of Renaissance singers. I spoke with the event team about
possibly having the SCA participate at their activities. They would
like us to run some simple children's activities at the  "Guppy Gala"
this Spring. This would include some games for the kids, performances,
arts displays, and anything we can come up with that would amuse and
entertain 5,000 kids and their parents. This could be a great
promotional activity for us. It could also lead to the annual use of
the Zoo as an event site with all its amenities for free. 

They are interested in having us help with Gala as a test run. If you
or your group are willing to support this activity, please let me know.
This will be a garbed activity.
