[MR] Looking for some elementary school level *fiction* book suggestions

I've come across a school library media specialist and a GT teacher in 
search of a fiction book for 2nd-4th grade that includes the creation of 
a coat of arms - the development and creation, I should say.  I did 
respond that it was unlikely, considering how they were created and who 
created them, but I figured I'd ask the folks I know who'd be likely to 
know of such a book.

Short of that "ideal", I'm also looking for suggestions of fiction books 
suitable for elementary school students that mention coats of arms - or 
at least that worn in either tournament or battle to identify the 
knights.

Fantasy may be "ok" - if the world is similar enough to medieval to 
"pass", but historical fiction is preferred.

Any suggestions?   (asked hopefully)
