Greetings Atlantia from Kari, Queen of Atlantia

We have just returned from the War, where once again, Atlantia was
proven to be the most amazing Kingdom. I am sure that I will forget
some important detail with everything that went on in the last two
weeks, so feel free to throw in additions.

Our 5-man rapier team won for the second year in a row.

In the Champions Archery shoot, Allied archers were allowed 13 archers
on the team. Atlantia scored so well that we received all 13 spots.

Archery populace shoot- 21 archers that scored (in the words of the
Marshal on duty) as many points as it took 100 shooters from the other side.

Heavy bridge battle- we took 4 of the 5 bridges during one of the
fights. I got to stand in the "water" between the bridges and it was
amazing to see everyone working together and blowing through the "enemy"
During the next bridge battle, our archers took out 2/3 of the
army on the other side....no kidding! Turns out there were only FOUR
archers shooting that day. WOW!!

Rapier Champions- Out of 31 spots, Atlantia was given 7 spots. This was
more than any other Kingdom received. Some kingdoms were only allowed
one spot.

A&S- I had so many other royals come up and tell me of their awe after
seeing the A&S display! Amazing work, but what we have come to expect
in Atlantia. Of course we have the best!

Children's Fete- SO MANY volunteers....there was a huge crowd of kids
and everyone was having such a good time. THANK YOU to everyone who
helped out with this.

Allied Champions battle- no brainer....we won....again....and I freaked
my guards out by jumping up and down in a chair whenever we won a point.

10-man Concordia- well, we won, but that was because after MANY hours in
the woods, our team showed up and all of the other kingdom teams did
not...I assume they were just too tired.

Connor (rapier) won two beautiful glasses in a tournament. (Connor,
please contact me)

As you have already seen, we won 3 out of 10 ribbons in the Heraldic
encampment display competition.

Aethelmearc challenged us to a second woods battle after main the woods
battle... we won.

King Sinclair bought a keg for the Kingdom and our friends and enemies
to share once the fighting was done so the rally cry for the final day
was For King, Queen and Keg....seemed to work. Our guys did some
amazing stuff on the field.

Several Atlantians worked at Herald's Point and Security and a whole
magnitude of people worked at Troll. THANK YOU ALL!

THANK YOU to all of the people who decorated, guarded, retained, ran
tournaments, attended meetings, marshalled events, donated items to the
gift baskets, taught classes, planned activities and helped with set-up
and take down.
A few people I really want to mention: Victoria Pringle for arranging
all of my retainers all week and Estienne de Conte for arranging my
guards. Baroness Elizabeth for planning the Atlantian Bardic night and
the Spiked Punch Social. Baron Griffith Jenner for designing an
impressive Royal Encampment and building an amazing shower/kitchen
trailer and helping with the Great Hall assembly and disassembly. The
guys from Windmaster's Hill who offered to show up on Friday night and
take down the Manor Hall in Royal. The following gentles for helping
take down our Tudor house on Friday night: Duke Budoun, Sir Theron,
Greyland Crowe, Konstantanos and Owin of Dun Carraig. A big thank you
to Clan Ebonwoulfe and Skorri of Anglesey for helping load the Great
Hall onto the trailer for its trip home on Saturday. Also, thank you to
everyone who sewed favors for me. If you are a fighter that received a
painted favor, please send me you mailing address so I can swap it out
with an embroidered favor. THANK YOU to members of Clan Roanwoulfe for
embroidering 225 favors in the few weeks before Pennsic and especially
Talorgen for all the driving and delivering and moving of thrones as
part of the Closing Ceremony and the removal of our stuff from the field
and House Corvus for the donation of the tent used as the gate for Royal
Encampment.

THANK YOU to the wonderful gentles who sewed clothes for us. You were
all amazingly generous (and wonderful artisans!)

I said it several times at the War, but I truly mean it....I feel sorry
for the folks in other Kingdoms. They do not get a chance to see the
might, skill and fun that is Atlantia. Keep up the great work and we
look forward to seeing everyone when we take the field at Gulf Wars in
March.

HRM Kari
