I found a free e-book version of Men of Iron online at

Don't know whether it includes the illustrations, I have a slowwwwww
download connnection. Anyone old enough to remember 3K download speeds?

Howard Pyle did a series of books on King Arthur, and another one on Robin
Hood. Another medieval book he wrote was "Men of Iron".

Pyle was an artist and illustrated the books too.

I liked them when I was a kid, when I first ran across them in 2nd or 3rd
grade, and I still do!

I believe Dover books is publishing them.
