[MR] Teenager abuse at Pennsic

There are no answers to every situation. With a little luck, perhaps some creative trickery to goad them into joining in, parent suggestion, peer pressure, those teens may catch on and find something FUN and worthwhile on their own, without being forced. It may take a few days, or even a war or two for these things to fully catch on and make a difference.

Im sure there are many more things that can be suggested to get them involved... games tourney night (East vs Mid), Teen Pennsic-Iron Chef perhaps (Adults supervise the cooking in camp and have the teen bring their best to the barn for judging). Teen-only A&S?

Of course that means that those kids also wouldn't be tempted to join in with the wrong element as well.> > You are absolutely correct in that give a person (child or adult) a job to do and take pride in doing with a "prize" at the end of it all would be more insentive to them to join in and be a part of the SCA rather than simply being a group of kids their parent MADE attend, however, there are a percentage of kids that are just that, forced participents, how do we address them? How can we keep their hands busy without duct tape?> --> > Caterine St. Loe> "the Good 'Prentice"> Chateaux Ferneaux> >
