A friend of mine from the East has a son who attended his first
over-18 (just had the birthday a few months ago) Pennsic. He chose to
park in the free-camping space nearby, rather than in his father's
camp. The father viewed it as an opportunity for the young man to
learn and grow. That 18-year-old is contemplating putting together a
household / group of 18-to-20 year olds to camp together next year.
He's also in touch with next year's Mayor about coming up with a plan
for a teen tent, or something similar.
