im sorry to hear that. while i am in no way a fan of the tuchux (or any
merc group) i must say the tuchux have made some good strides in the past
few years. mainly with improving the look of their kits and, it seemed,
participating in our events. but yours isnt the only set of issues ive
heard about this year. the only way to address them though is to
immediately identify the people engaging in these transgressions and then
taking swift, fair, and direct actions against them. i personally didn't
witness any rules violations this year but have always done my best to
single out those that violate our rules. you had every right to be upset
with being struck while on the ground and i can understand forgetting to
identify the man first while in the heat of things.

however, as we learned at gulf wars, it requires a marshals court to address
issues like these and that often isnt done. i used to have faith in our
marshals courts but with the stupidity that occurred at gulf wars that faith
is gone. that was the second time ive been to a marshals court to address
rules violations and in both cases the outcome was laughable at best.
perhaps we need to remind each other that when rules violations do occur we
must identify the actionable party first, then calmly bring the violation to
discussion. if the violation proves to have been blatant, such as the case
you cited with the spear thrust, firm action must be taken or the only
option left is to hand out punishment in other ways. i would certainly not
want to see that as im sure you would agree.

i hope kellia was ok soon after and that the rest of her pennsic was
enjoyable.

logan

Actually your Grace I disagree...I thought particularly the Tuchux behavor
this year was especially bad, and almost remincent of the year they were
jumping out of trees on people during the woods battle. During the Gates or

Rome Battle, I was face thrust with a spear well after I had hit the ground
dead and in a prone position. When I asked the Tuchux "what you gotta make
sure?" I was told by him "YES" instead of sorry dude. When I said WHAT?? in
an incredulous voice, a Middle knight defused the situation until I left the

field, as which point I stewed about why someone would intentionally stike a

blow to my face when it I was prone and therefore, according to the rules of

the list, unengageable so I would be unkillable. By then, of course. I could

not actually identify the Tuchux scum who face thrust me. My squire Kellia
was stuck twice in the kidney by a Tuchux polearm while she was down in the
same Gates of Rome battle. She was struck with enough force she could barely

walk the rest of the day, and was in anywhere from severe pain to moderate
pain for the entire week as a direct result . She missed the Woods Battles,
and Mountain Pass battle due to these unchivalous actions, and I chose to
keep her out of the bridge battle as I did not feel her back was up to the
stresses of a bridge battle. She also, while dead in the Gates of Rome
battle, was intentionally face thrust by Tuchux several times after she was
dead and prone on the field. Lastly, I saw an altercation during the field
battle with a Tuchux and an another Atlantian resulting in the Tuchux being
pulled from the field because he had been killed multiple times then got up
and continued stabbing people. Throughout the war, I had problems getting
people to acknowledge blows, even from my unpadded polearm. I am aware that
there are usually problems with the Tuchux..but thsi stuff seemed a lot more

blatent to me.
