[MR] Sacred Stone Baronial Birthday

With the Glory of Pennsic behind us and War of the Wings looming on the
horizon, Sacred Stone would like to invite all of our friends and neighbors
throughout the Kingdom to enjoy a weekend of celebration and competition.
Our Baronial Birthday this year is chock full of fighting, arts and
pageantry. There really is a little something for everyone!



Fighters! Now that there is "Peace" between the Middle-East. You face
opponents here at home that seek to test there meddle show that they are
worthy to fight with the Phoenix in the upcoming battle. Heavy Fighters –
There will be a Counted Blows Style Tourney and a $5 min. Ransom Melee run
by Sir Axel. Rapier Fighters – Lord Greylond will be marshaling a Counted
Blows Style tourney for you as well. Archers – Fergus Fletcher has planned a
great day of shooting for both adult and youth. Equestrians – Eleanor de
Monforte has multiple activities for you to participate in through out the
day. Youth Fighters – Lady Makai has fighting and a class planned for you.


Artisans! We have no less than 7 competitions for you to showcase your
skills in, ranging from heraldic displays to outrageous hats. Lady Clara has
posted a listing of those competitions to the lists and can be contacted at

Sacred Stone Populace and all those to whom Sacred Stone is the home of
their heart – As is the custom the Baron & Baroness will be choosing their
Baronial Champions. If you wish to prove yourself worthy of representing our
beloved Barony there are many competitions for you to choose from. Heavy
fighting, Youth fighting, Rapier, Archery, Youth Archery, Baking, Brewing,
Bardic, Scribal, and A&S Champions will all be chosen. There are a few rules
to remember. 1. You do not have to live in Sacred Stone's zip codes to
become a champion, if this barony is where you play then by all means enter.
2. You must enter a secondary category, it can be any category you are
authorized to take part in, so if you are a fighter you could enter one of
the A&S categories or another marshaled category you are authorized in, if
you are an artisan you could enter another arts category or a fighting
competition (if you are authorized). NOTE-you need not be authorized to
shoot in the archery competition. 3. You will need to contact the Baroness
to inform her of your intention to compete to become a baronial champion.

Heralds, Bards, and all those who love a good show! Pageantry is the word of
the day. Heralds – Test your skills by becoming a "Herald for Hire". Do you
have what it takes to make the newest fighter on the field sound like he
could take down a Duke, or a lovely illumination seem as grand as a work by
Da Vinci? Then sign up and strut your stuff, all monies raised will go to a
good cause (TBA). Bards and all who love them – After the grand feast on
Saturday evening there will be a "Baronial Birthday Bardic Bash" and
everyone is invited! There will be refreshments provided, and the castle
will make for a wonderful backdrop for the songs, stories and friendship to
be shared.
