Dame Olwen's question is actually about what to do about the Formaldehyde that it was stored in at the hospital.

Has this chemical penetrated the bone so much that it will not be able to be used for close skin contact? If the bone is left out to dry will the Formaldehyde *gas off* similar to the way bleach does?

We can get it carved up for her, we just aren't sure if the chemical soaked bone will ever be safe for this purpose.
