Thanks to the Autocrat and all the organizers who put the event together.

Thanks especially to the kitchen crew who somehow managed to produce an excellent feast despite a drastically compressed time schedule.

Thanks to the Knights who came out and worked themselves ragged fighting and instructing all the eager young fighters (and a couple of avid old ones).

Thanks to the marshals, MsoL, and waterbearers who enabled the event to take place (and kept some absent-minded fighters out of trouble).??Thanks especially the waterbearers who enabled all the others to keep going.

Thanks to the Barony of Storvik for hosting the event and finding so outstanding a site.? Those who did not stay for the feast, and/or did not stay over, you missed a lot.

However, thanks to the weather on Sunday the war practice was a washout - almost literally.

And thanks to the DJ on whatever station I was tuned to, as I crossed the Potomac River Bridge in rain so heavy I could barely see four car lengths, who spun "Bright Shiny Day."? Most perfectly ironic timing I've experienced in years!
