documentation preferred but not required (extra points for
documentation). [Sponsor- Hidden Mountain Scribes Guild]
*Your First ME Garb* -Middle Eastern garb can be simple or complex
depending on the geographical area and time frame. What does your first
ME garb look like? Here is a competition for beginners or for those who
happen to still have their first attempts. Bring us your first Middle
Eastern Garb to show everyone. Simple documentation is requested-please
tell us what it is. [Sponsor Mistress Kisaiya Zingara ]
*Travel Diaries*- In the late 1500's and 1600's as travel became more
possible and frequent, people often wrote travelogues or diaries to
share with the folks back home. These journals became popular reads for
the literate and were wildly popular. While some authors were legitimate
(like Marco Polo or Ibn Battuta), some authors wrote wild imaginings and
stated them as real (see The Travels of Sir John Mandeville). So write
us one page or entry from your persona's travel diary and describe an
experience as you travel in the Middle East. This entry can be as
accurate or wildly inaccurate as you can get away with. The only
documentation requested for this entry is a note describing who your
persona is. [Sponsor Mistress Kisaiya Zingara ]
*Bardic*- written or performed bardic. Extra points given for Middle
Eastern theme and for documentation. [Sponsor Lady Alesone MacCormack]
