Good Gentles of the Tavern,
     I am all for increasing the level of knowledge about historically
accurate traditions and pastimes. Please continue to educate those of
us gathered at your knee, waiting to be inspired by your learning.
Now comes the proverbial "but"...
     Please remember that differing Kingdoms have differing traditions,
some of which are dearly held by the people who practice them. What
to Atlantians might seem silly (or lacking in historic precedent), is
a time honored tradition in other Kingdoms. When you see someone
offering an honor, no matter how silly it might seem, accept the
honor as it is intended. You lose nothing for it and there are other,
greater offenses to sharpen your swords upon.
