[MR] Queen's Corner

it varies from crown to crown. for the most part it is the desire of the
incoming to select the style of transfer. i have always opted for the
outgoing to simply leave the crowns on the thrones. at this past coronation
their now majesties asked us to put the crowns in the care of duke valharic.
should i ever have the fortune to sit upon the throne of atlantia again i
think i will ask the outgoing king to remove the crown from his head and
place it on mine, then hand me the queens crown so that i may crown my
consort. something just feels right to me about that.

i don't know that ive ever seen any mock force transfers and i cant imagine
that such a sight would be pleasing to me personally. i have seen the
knights called forward to guard the thrones/crowns as well as ive seen the
great officers called forward for the same thing. ive also heard tales of
faked deaths being the segue to the coronation ceremony (before my time i
think).

so, to not really answer your question directly...... it varies. 8)

Your Majesty, thank you for these fine questions and learning opportunities.

I have heard the latter "Chivalry-only" version, but never "AoA and
above". Of course, Middle is not one of the several Kingdoms in which I
have lived. From what I have seen it was either unrestricted or Chivalry
only. It reminds me of the martial arts conundrum: in some
schools/styles if you look at the master during the bow it is rude, in
others they kick you in the face if you look at the ground. Fortunately
the consequences here are not quite so abrupt. :-D

On a related tangent, what is the process or ceremony surrounding
Coronation? I have seen friendly transfers, transfers involving mock
force, and vacant throne transfers, with the Chivalry guarding the
throne in the interim. What is the custom here? While we are at it, Who
Crowns Whom? This is another process for which I have seen several variants.
