Just remember that the symbol of the Jappanese Imperial family is a beautiful flower. When Brittian and Scottland became one kingdom, they added a unicorn to the royal crest. Monarchs have been using gentle symbols to represent their houses or kingdoms for ever. As far as historically accurate, last I heard, Unicorns were mythical creatures. I like spike. I think he represents the Kingdom well. He is small and swift, gracefull and with that horn on his head, he represents power. Not to mention that a kingdom is more than just her fighters. (If Ben Franklin had his way, we would have had a turkey as the national symbol and not the bald eagle.)
