It’s almost time for Games Tourney! We have a full day of gaming, dancing, racing, and feasting ahead of us so come prepared to roll the dice, step lively, run with the ponies, and just plain eat too much. There will be merchants, period gambling games, Middle Eastern dancing, and children’s activities throughout the day to keep your whole family entertained.

Schedule: 

10:00 a.m. – site opens / A&S opens for dessert competition entries 
11:00 a.m. – Round 1 of the Games Tournament begins / Chess Tournament begins / 
Silent Auction opens / Children’s Corner opens 
11:30 a.m. – A&S entries must be in 
Noon – Lunch served 
12:30 p.m. – Round 1 of Games Tournament ends and scores tallied 
1:00 p.m. – Round 2 of Games Tournament begins / Renaissance dance classes begin 
1:30 p.m. – Lunch closes 
2:00 (ish) p.m. – Round 2 of Games Tournament ends / open gaming continues 
3:00 p.m. – Chess Tournament ends / Pony Races and outdoor games begin / 
Renaissance dance classes end 
5:00 p.m. – Silent Auction closes / feast set-up begins
5:30 p.m. – Winners announced / prizes awarded
6:00 p.m. – Feast w/entertainment begins 
7:30 p.m. – Dancing begins 

Lunch – Simple lunch fare (including a vegetarian option) will be available for purchase for $4.00.  You will have your choice of soup (chicken & rice or vegetarian lentil), bread, cheese, hummus, honey butter, apples, and a sampling of desserts from the non-period dessert competition.  (When you purchase lunch, you will be given a token to set beside your vote for best non-period dessert.)

Directions:  Take your best route to I-81 to exit #235 (VA-256).  Travel east on Rte 256 (toward Weyers Cave/Grottoes) for approximately 1.5 miles.  The Weyers Cave Community Center is on the left and hard to miss.
