         There's a very interesting documentary (by Ken Burns) now 
showing on PBS, about WWII.  The first segment has just completed, 
but I'm sure that it will eventually be online at

         I commend it to your attention.  Perhaps the most 
significant point is made mere moments into the program, where a 
veteran rejects the idea of a "good war", and substitutes the idea of 
a "necessary war"
         IMHO, you should also download and view these two songs.
