[MR] Event Announcement: Masters of Defense (9/8/2007)

Greetings and Salutations,

A unique tournament will be held this weekend, September 8th, in the  
great Barony of Lochmere.  This tournament will be held in the style  
of the London Masters of Defense.  This is the only tournament of its  
kind in Atlantia, where by the victorious fighter must demonstrate  
prowess in both armored and rapier combat.

Successful combatants will fight in five forms each of both armored  
and rapier combat.  Armored fighting will consist of Weapon and  
Shield, Great sword, Polearm, Double Weapon, Single Sword.  Rapier  
fighting will consist of Single Weapon, Double Weapon, Sword and  
Buckler, Sword and Dagger and Weapon and Soft Parry Device.  Lists  
for rapier and heavy will be running at all times during the day,  
allowing fighters to rotate through weapons forms.

The victorious fighter will be one who demonstrates prowess in both  
armored and rapier combat, however if you are only authorized in  
rapier or armored fighting, please come out and challenge all in  
those lists.  The top fighters of each list will be recognized as well.
