Diamond Wars XXII? I should smile, because I attended the 1st Diamond Wars
in the then Shire of Small Gray Bear. Glad to see not much has changed.

These are the site rules I read when visiting the event flyer to learn about
a cooking competition they are having there.  Some of these rules are so odd
to what I am used to seeing here in Atlantia.  Firearms prohibited?  Anyway,
I got a bit of amusement and thought I would share it.

Camp Cedar Valley, Viola, Arkansas
Come join the Barony of Small Gray Bear for three days of fighting,
learning, cooking, and revelry on the north border of Gleann Abhann.
Site Rules
Conduct at SCA events is governed by Society Law, as well as the high
community standards we set for ourselves. In addition to common sense, here
are some mundane guidelines given to us by Camp Cedar Valley:

This site is very discreetly wet. That means: No original containers in
view, and all empties go home with you. Underage drinking will NOT be
tolerated.

Illegal drugs of any kind are prohibited on site.

No hunting is allowed on site. This includes the woods across the lake.

Fishing is permitted in the lake with a valid Arkansas fishing license.

No swimming in the lake.

Please do not feed or harass the wildlife.

Firearms are prohibited.

All trash must go into one of the site trashcans or dumpster, located behind
the feast hall.

Campfires are allowed in designated fire rings, or in above-ground fire
pits. PLEASE practice proper fire safety.

No chopping down of trees or bushes. There is plenty of deadfall for
firewood.

Fireworks are prohibited.

No ATVs or go-carts allowed.

All vehicles must remain in designated parking areas.

Please refrain from smoking in the main parade ground area.
