For those who may have heard of it, we here in Drachenwald have been having an event in a castle in Wales for the last couple of years called Raglan Fair (named so after the castle "ruin" in which we hold the event).? Included have been activities such as: fighting in every single room of the castle, including a real bridge suspended 40 feet above a moat; torch-lit ball to live music in the court yard; medieval cooking over fires using medieval implements, vigils for knighthood in the semi-ruined stone chapel of the castle.

And as a bonus, if you make your 2008 vacation a European one to attend this event, you will have the chance to attend not ONE five day war event in a castle, but TWO.? In Germany, we will also be holding our annual Niebelungen Krieg at the lovely castle in which we held it last year, the very weekend following Raglan.? You could accumulate ten days of castle eventing in a two-week period!
