Greetings to the good people of Atlanta and the Chroniclers of the Kingdom,
I am now in a crunch time to find a replacement for my office. If you are
seriously interested in the job, please submit a mundane and SCA resume to
royals at atlantia.sca.org; seneschal at atlantia.sca.org; and
chronicler at atlantia.sca.org. In a brief letter, tell me what you would like
to do and see where the newsletter should go from here.
The job takes about 10-15 hours a week on average per month. The busy time
is the last week of the month where you collect the flyers, set up the
Acorn, and request letters. At this time I have a printer that prints,
binds, folds, and submits the final newsletter to the mailing house. Who
then prints the mailing addresses and delivers the newsletter to the Bulk
Main Center in Charlotte. Not necessary, but very helpful that you have
been or is currently a warranted exchequer.
The office deals with the warranting of the local chroniclers, making sure
of the publications follow Kingdom and Society policy/law, deal with issues
on an as needed basis, and submit Blackfox nominations to the Society
Chronicler around June/July. Host the Chronicler's meeting at Unevent and
attend the Great Officers of State meeting at Unevent. Current projects are
setting up a University track for the office, establishing the role of the
historian deputy, and finding someone to take over the web minister job for
the chronicler's website.
Finally, take over ownership of the yahoo elist and the Kingdom chronicler's
list (rarely used). I have a Yahoo ID that was set up as a stop gap when I
transferred to Kingdom you can take ownership of that ID as well.
That is it in a nut shell.
