good sir guy. thank you so much for your voice and your support. i know
your heart and have called you friend for many years. at pennsic this year
i heeded my kings call to arms. i was only able to take the field twice
while i was there as i have been suffering with an increasing situation with
my right elbow. i have three, possibly four, spurs on my elbow (and one on
my humerus) that are causing very painful injury to the tendons in my elbow.
if i fight for 10 minutes (or even my working out at the gym) i develop a
large bruise around my elbow from the bleeding that comes with the spurs.
its very painful. ive had my mri and will have to endure surgery to correct
this issue. ive scheduled it for after wotw so that i may stand the field
with my army.
i will be at crusades. i will be on the field whether or not i can fight
through the discomfort. i will leave work at 7pm and drive through the
night on friday arriving 8-9 hours later. the gas wont be free. the time
wont be free. but i will be there.
atlantia, his majesty east and i entered our great kingdoms into an alliance
for the duration of our time on the thrones. they will bring their host and
they will show us no quarter. let us remind them why atlantia has the
reputation she has earned. let us remind them why they came to us and
offered this brotherhood. let us send them home tired, learned, and beaten.
i will offer my best. sir guy will as well.
how about you?
regards
logan

If an injury has to be done to a man it should be so severe that his
vengeance need not be feared.

There are few events that Atlantia or her King calls the fighters to. There
is an expectation that they attend these events if at all possible. There
are really only three fighting events where you serve your Kingdom or answer
the call of your King. You could throw Gulf Wars in there also.
1. Kingdom Crusades.
2. Assessments.
3. Pennsic
You should attend Kingdom 12th Night, Coronation and Crown, and it is good
to be seen at Ymir, TOC and Sapphire Joust to show what you have on the
field.
However the reputation of your Kingdom is not at stake at these events. It
is at Crusades and Pennsic. and a lesser extent Gulf Wars.
I hear reasons why people can not attend. It is to expensive, gas is high,
it is to far, the weather is bad (family and job however are good reasons),
WOWII is the next weekend. But if you have nothing else to do that weekend
for your family or to support your family and you are a fighter, get in a
car with a few of your buddies to defray the cost of travel and come out and
support your Kingdom during Crusades. Kingdom Crusades is where you should
be.
If you can not be there, you should be encouraging the other fighters to be
there and explaining why it is important that they attend, or try and making
it easier for them to attend like finding them a ride.
The East has people come down from Vermont and Northern New York (and
further I think). Now I dont have a map on me right now, but I think that
is a frickn far way to travel to fight the Atlantian Army. We do ourselves
no honor as a Kingdom by not meeting the East with the numbers they expect
and want.
Last year we got our heads handed to us. As an Army we were less then
effective and there were few shining moments for us. It will happen again if
we do not field an Army worthy of our Kingdom. Though it will be run like a
practice this year, I am sure numbers will still count.
Also do not fool yourself. The Crowns, the Knights and the Leaders of the
Army even the Kingdom itself know who come to support her.
I remain,
Sir Guy.
