I hope everyone had a safe and uneventful trip home from War of the Wings this past weekend.  It has been a sincere honor to be the event steward of this amazing coming together of the populace for the last two years.  There were a few misgivings about a “Baronial War” when this idea was first being put together, and I am so pleased to report that all the participants responded in a positive manner and took the field against each other with the intention of bringing their best against their friends and encouraging their friends to bring their best against them for the second year in a row.  Atlantia is an incredible place to live and that was greatly in evidence at the event this past weekend.  

I have to thank the absolutely amazing staff I was blessed with yet again.  We had little to no issues due to the time and effort they each put into their areas. They worked hard, very hard, and I ask each person who attended the event and participated in any of the activities offered to thank the person running that activity. 

Your Excellencies of both Sacred Stone and Black Diamond - I thank You as well.  Without Your running around all year recruiting various groups and people to Your side, our turnout would not be nearly what it is.  Thank you so much for Your support and participation in this little event!

Your Majesties, Your presence and participation at the event was wonderful.  Thank you so very much for Your assistance in helping to bring the dream alive at the event. 

To the attendees - thank you for participating so fully in all the activities offered, for being just so incredibly nice and helpful,  and for contributing to the creation of the atmosphere of a medieval world.  All the period pavilions and dayshades surrounding the field and at the front of the encampments was a beautiful sight to behold and the procession was breathtaking. Without you the event could not have come alive. 

Finally, Lady Gisella will be taking over War of the Wings next year.  She has been on staff the last two years and was my right hand this past year.  She is an incredible event steward, has been an amazing help to me,  and has an event that is growing by leaps and bounds to run.
