Below is event information for Inter-Baronial Twelfth Night 2008; I
hope everyone can join us for a fun-filled day. Also, let me stress
again that I will be ecstatic to hear from anyone who can teach dance
at the event!

Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

-Rebecca/Rebekah

As the Yuletide holidays draw to an end, join us in celebrating the
season's finale – Twelfth Night. Tir-y-Don looks forward to hosting
our neighbors from Marinus for a day of warmth and good cheer. Their
Excellencies Jean-Claude and Alyna will be selecting their next
Baronial Artisan, and all artisans are sure to enjoy the day's many
activities. Enter a competition, perform a song, dance into the night
– or simply enjoy a day to visit and exchange gifts with friends from
near and far.

SITE AND DATE: Inter-Baronial Twelfth Night will be held on Saturday,
January 26, at Saint Martin's Episcopal Church, 1333 Jamestown Road,
Williamsburg, VA. The church is handicapped-accessible and handicapped
parking is available near the front entrance. Site restrictions: no
pets, no smoking indoors, no hard liquor (beer and wine are allowed,
no original containers please). See website for directions and
details.

WEBSITE: www.goingmedieval.com/IB12 (case sensitive)

ARTS & SCIENCES: Their Excellencies Jean-Claude and Alyna will be
selecting their next Baronial Artisan from among the Barony's many
skilled gentles. There will be other static competitions with various
themes, as well as a performing-arts competition. Classes include a
critical tasting discussion for brewers and those interested in
brewing. See website for more details.

No traditional Twelfth Night celebration would be complete without
dancing! A dance lesson in the afternoon will be followed by an
evening dance masque – masks are encouraged (enter yours in the A&S
competition!) and everyone is invited to stay and dance or just enjoy
the music and company.

*We are still seeking a dance mistress or dance master - if you would
be willing to teach dance, please contact the autocrat. She will be
very happy to hear from you!*

MERCHANTS: Merchants are welcome – there is no merchant fee but
merchants must pre-register and send information about their wares and
any requirements. We have limited table space available for merchants
in the hall – we will provide tables. If you have specific questions,
please contact the autocrat (see below).

FEAST: Lord Wolfgang Moennich von Lupin will be preparing a delicious
meal; pre-registration for feast is encouraged. A menu will be
forthcoming (watch the website for more information). If you have
questions about feast ingredients, please contact the cook (see
below).

There will also be ample off-board seating provided. The event site is
walking distance from a small shopping center with a grocery and cafe,
and a short drive from Williamsburg's many restaurants.

SCHEDULE: Set-up will begin at 8 a.m. Troll opens at 10 a.m. The event
concludes between 9:30 and 10 p.m. (anyone on-site will be thanked for
volunteering to clean!) and the site must be vacated by 11 p.m. Watch
the website for a complete schedule, coming soon!
