Anyone want to get a couple of "any soldier" boxes together for the
holidays???  I love gathering up 'stuff' to pack into these boxes and
sending them off.  

We can't send them to "any soldier" any more, of course.  If there's no one
from this Kingdom over there (yeah, fat chance, I know)there is a website
you can go to and get a name and address.  They open these things and share
the contents around among the unit, creating a library with paperback books,
etc.

I want to take just a moment to inform or remind anyone that wants to send a
Christmas card or package to a vet overseas that it takes much, much longer
to get there than you might otherwise think. To get there before Christmas
Day, it is really a good idea to send packages in the next week or so.
(Don’t forget customs declarations where needed) Cards should be sent by the
first week of December. The speed of things might have improved since I
served 3 ½ years in Europe but probably not by much. Geffrei Maudeleyne
Argent, five gloupes in a cross and a bordure azure.
