[MR] Announcement: The taking of an apprentice

Howdy!

I have asked Margaret Cochrane to become my apprentice and she
has accepted the offer. We intend a formal ceremony at Twelfth Night.
I'm pretty sure that there will be hospitality as part of this, but there are
lots of details to be worked out.
