Greetings to all in the Tavern!

As a baroness I am honored to be able to host events in my groups name. This weekend's event ROTMOV made me proud to be thier baroness. The coming together of hard work and cooperation on all levels was a joy to see. Baroness Chagan and Mistress Barbara used their impressive combined knowledge and experience to run a smooth and seamless event. I counted roughly 50+ people who contributed to the dream in various ways on Saturday and to you I give thanks.

I would like to thank the following people in particular-

M'Lady Tsura the Elder for her fine decorations of the hall. They lent a beautiful feeling of Venetian finery to our stay. The man servants she provided were handsome and did not complain the whole day whilst holding the Baronial flowers. They also appeared to enjoy all of the attention they garnered from the ladies of the hall! Many had their portraits taken with them. Myself included! I hope we get to see them again soon!

Lord Denis De Dijon for his hard work to provide a very nice A&S area. Due to his efforts the artisans had a goodly place to show their work to it's best advantage. Lord Denis is a champion of the arts and it shows!

The A&S coordinator is an important job. Be they a novice or a peer you are able to showcase the artisans and their work. It is our artisans and scholars that help us LIVE the dream by learning about the things we use in service to the dream. This support is invaluable. Thank you.

Lady Ingeborg i Trondheimi for her wonderful poem in my honor. It was perfect. I have never been the subject of a poem before and I will cherish it. Thank you also for assisting Lord Denis at A&S point.

Master Chirhart Blackstar and the Bright Hills Cooks Guild for the delicious feast. There were many "Mmmmmmm's" coming from the seats near me! In fact I am still enjoying the wonderful buttery bread and "Meave's Mushrooms" here at home.

All those who jumped right in and volunteered time from the event to act as retainers for myself and Her Highness Rowen.

The position of Retainer is an important job that requires discretion, courtesy, and quick thinking at times. I appreciate all your efforts to help me and make my day run smoother. Your help allowed me to do many things at one time. Your help allowed me to concentrate on important things because I knew that you were concentrating on my schedule and reminders.

All those who helped to set up the martial activities. There were many ropes, posts, tents, targets, stakes, measurements etc. to be gotten ready for the fun and safety of the participants. Your efforts directly effect how the outside activities are enjoyed. Thank you.

I also wish to M'Lord Denis Coan, the Manchester Volunteer Fire Company site representative for going above and beyond the call of duty. He helped in the kitchen all day, from early morning through late into the night. The Cooks Guild successfully fed him into submission and seemed to enjoy himself emmensly!

If I did not name you by name you are not forgotten nor ignored. Every hand that wiped a table, ran an errand, or fixed a problem is a valuable and appreciated hand and for those efforts I thank you also.

Thank you all for a giving me a wonderful memory of my first real event as Baroness. I will treasure it.

Yours in service,
Martelle von Charlottenburg
