Well, if who-ever (BOD, etc) decide to eliminate support for the youth, then
you now have effectively kicked out a good portion of the Society.  I cannot
attend events without my children most of the time.  Do I expect the SCA to
provide activities for them?  No.  Will my child continue to want to come to
events when she is 12 if there is "nothing for her to do".  Probably not.

Will we lose an entire generation due to lack of cultivating our own
membership?  Mostlikely yes.

I for one am waiting on some official announcement from the BOD.  Hopefully
they won't throw the baby out with the bathwater.
