To whom did you intend to address this, Marie-Hélène? Do you condider the entire populace to be such an authority? :-)

The correct title for the Marshallate officer of any group lower than a Kingdom is Knight Marshal.

When Atlantia was a Principality, she had a Knight Marshal. (I maintained that it should have been Viscount Marshal, but nobody bought that idea.)

Subject: [MR] A Question for the Earl Marshal

Mainly because you are the authority on the Marshallete:

What is the correct title of the marshal in charge of a canton or barony?

I have heard and seen several arrangements: Knight's Marshal, Knights Marshal,
and Knight Marshal; which of these (if any) is correct?

Just asking for my own sanity.

Marie Hélène of the New Forest, GOA
